The Original Rainbow Coalition will be presented as part of The Howard Zinn Book Fair. The Fair is an annual celebration of The People’s History, past, present and future which brings together authors, readers, organizers and community members to debate and discuss strategies for a better world. This year’s Book Fair will be held on Sunday, December 3rd in the San Francisco Bay Area, and it’s organized against historical amnesia. Founded in 2014, this volunteer-run event typically hosts 60 workshops and 100 publishers, welcoming over 2500 attendees, and has become a well loved institution. Some of the many authors who have presented at the Book Fair include: Walidah Imarisha, Mark Bray, Nick Estes, Miriam Klei-Stahl, Chris Carlsson, Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz, Michelle Gonzales, Paul Ortiz, Leroy Moore, Rebecca Sonit, David Zirin, Ananda Esteva, Alicia Garza and Sekou Ondinga.
This year’s festival looks to be a strong return after the years of Covid, with among other presenters in attendance, Robin D.G. Kelley will be in conversation with Peter Linebaugh. The full schedule may be found here: https://www.
